Moonrise Outdoors is promoting the cease of the term ‘keeper’ when describing mature Striped Bass. As conservationists, we believe a cultural rebranding is needed to mitigate the impact of recreational catch-to-kill fishing.

We started this program with the hope of promoting a shift in thinking by those new to fishing. The term, ‘keeper’ instills the belief that anglers have an obligation to needlessly throw a large fish, which are crucial to healthy spawn classes, into a cooler. We ask that you help #ENDKEEPERFEVER so that we, and future generations, can continue to experience Striped Bass fishing.
